FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

We live in a world where finance shapes everything, from opportunity to stability, and yet, very few young people were ever taught to understand it. I saw my peers learning definitions, not questioning systems; memorizing formulas, and not exploring incentives. Accepting money as a fundamental truth, instead of something of worthwhile examination.

Research assessing the extent of this problem stipulates that 93% of young Indian adults are truly interested in exploring and understanding financial topics and yet don’t receive the required guidance. Despite textbooks skimming over topics as important as financial literacy and awareness, the true spirit of financial thinking is still missing—one that leads to curiosity, skepticism, and intellectual exploration.

Which is why SheFunds India was started, not as a way of just teaching finance, but rather challenging it. My goal is to instil a movement of true financial exploration as I explore it, not through monotonous lectures, but through conversation, real-world relevance, and its application.

My own personal and academic journey reinforced this mission, as I’ve always been passionate about using creativity and critical thinking to address global challenges. From building a tech prototype for Parkinson’s at the YTS Program to learning about investing through Harvard Student Agencies to being a finalist in the John Locke Global Essay Competition and later exploring the fields of philosophy, economics, and finance by joining the PPE Singapore summer school, these experiences have left me with a key takeaway:

Think fiercely, listen generously. And question the world, because that’s where true exploration begins.

I’m also deeply engaged with service along with an interest in public dialogue through being a part of the NSS (National Service Scheme) and Harvard Model United Nations, which further deepened my interest in solving global issues, along with economic resolution and diplomacy. These shaped the path for SheFunds India as a student-led movement for young thinkers.

To everyone reading this, remember:

Finance matters.

Its worth matters.

And so does every number behind it.

So question it.

Discover it

Own it.
